Beginners to Pre-Intermediate level professionals who are new to project management or those with some experience looking to solidify their understanding.

The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in project management. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to understand project management principles, utilize basic tools, and apply these skills in real-world scenarios.

1. Introduction to Project Management (30 minutes)

•  Definition and importance of project management.
•  Overview of key project management phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing.
•  Roles and responsibilities of a project manager.

2. Project Life Cycle and Methodologies (40 minutes) 

•  Understanding the project life cycle.
•  Introduction to popular project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile,).
•  Comparing and contrasting different methodologies and when to use them.

3. Project Planning (50 minutes)

• Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Developing a project plan: work breakdown structure (WBS), timelines, and milestones.

4. Risk Management and Communication (40 minutes)

•  Identifying and assessing project risks.
•  Developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Importance of communication in project management.
• Creating a communication plan: stakeholders, frequency, and methods of communication.

5. Budgeting and Resource Management (30 minutes)

•  Basics of project budgeting and cost estimation.
•  Allocating resources effectively.
• Tools for managing resources and budgets.

6. Practical Exercise: Case Study (60 minutes)

• Participants will be divided into small groups to work on a project management case study.
• Each group will apply the knowledge gained to plan and manage a mock project.
• Groups will present their project plans, and a brief discussion will follow.

7. Q&A and Wrap-Up (30 minutes)

•  Open floor for participants to ask questions.
•  Recap of key points and takeaways.
•  Providing additional resources and references for further learning
