The TechEco Pathways project funded by Lux-Development, the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (LUXDEV) aims to contribute to sustainable economic growth in Kosovo by addressing critical skill gaps in the renewable energy and ICT sectors.
This project fosters a culture of innovation and promotes gender equality through targeted training and development programs.The initiative prepares young graduates, particularly women, for immediate employment, enhances their employability, and supports local industry growth by providing a skilled workforce. The program spans 24 months and includes three key activities to achieve its objectives.
GreenTech Pathways: Cultivating Skills for Kosovo’s Sustainable Future
GreenTech Pathways addresses the shortage of skilled professionals in Kosovo’s renewable energy and ICT sectors. This program offers hands-on training sessions for 75 young graduates, followed by paid internships for 35 selected participants. The training curriculum integrates renewable energy technologies, digital tools, and data management systems to equip participants with industry-specific skills. Additionally, partnerships with private companies ensure students gain practical experience and build valuable networks for future employment.

GreenTech Pathways will offer training programs in Artificial Intelligence, Solar Energy and Energy Storage.
Artificial Intelligence Fundamental
This training provides a comprehensive introduction to AI, covering key concepts, real-world applications, and ethical considerations. Designed for beginners, it includes hands-on experience with no-code AI tools, data fundamentals, machine learning basics, and Python programming. Participants will explore AI’s role in emerging technologies, business, and sustainability while gaining insights into career opportunities in the field.
Solar Energy and Battery Storage Solutions
Gain essential skills in solar energy and battery storage! This program covers system installation, maintenance, and diagnostics while emphasizing safety and professional standards. Learn to integrate energy storage and EV charging for a sustainable future.
DevelopHer Program (Women Scholarships)
DevelopHer Kosova program is an innovative initiative aimed at empowering young women in Kosovo, by providing them with comprehensive technology training.
In collaboration with private companies and experienced trainers, this tuition-free, is designed to equip participants with the skills needed for the modern job market.
The program aims to address both the high youth unemployment rate in Kosovo and the gender gap in the tech industry by creating female role models with global opportunities. The program’s mission is to increase female participation in Kosovo’s ICT workforce and increase the employment rate for its graduates. The DevelopHer Kosova program includes several key components designed to ensure comprehensive training and support for participants.
The curriculum is designed to cover:
Mentorship opportunities will be provided with experienced professionals in the technology industry, offering career guidance and skill development.
Job placement support will be a critical component, with partnerships established with job placement agencies to assist graduates in securing employment opportunities.
Community building will also be a focus, with networking events, forums, and alumni associations fostering a supportive environment for female developers.
The DevelopHer program spans two years, 6 months for cohorts. There will be 12 students per class/cohort, therefore, in total 3 cohorts.

Through innovation challenges, participants design impactful solutions addressing critical issues such as energy consumption and plastic waste. These events serve as platforms to showcase talent, encourage collaboration, and drive progress in Kosovo’s sustainable job ecosystem.

DevelopHer Kosova: Empowering Women in Technology
DevelopHer Kosova is a transformative program designed to empower young women in Kosovo by equipping them with technology skills for the modern job market. In collaboration with Coding Dojo and Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK), the program offers tuition-free, flexible courses in Cyber Security – Offense & Defense; Creative (graphic design, motion design & animation, and UI UX Design) and Programming (Font-end foundation, Python and JavaScript or ReactJS).
With mentorship and community-building efforts, DevelopHer Kosova addresses the gender gap in the tech industry and prepares participants for successful careers.
