Up to €20,000 for businesses ready for green transition – BOOST KOSOVO

BOOST KOSOVO increases opportunities as UNDP and EBRD partner - Up to 20, 000€ for businesses ready for green transition. Earlier last week, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo launched BOOST x Kosovo, an acceleration programme to help businesses tackle development challenges and support them towards greener growth.

This initiative has brought together UNDP Kosovo, the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK), and lately, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) which shares the same strong commitment towards environmental sustainability.

Having EBRD financially assist the initiative will enable BOOST to double the amount of grants that will support and fund green transformation activities within the business community. Up to 50 businesses across Kosovo will be supported on their path to sustainability through mentorship, acceleration, individual mentoring sessions, as well as access to a network of 170 countries worldwide. Teams with the most innovative green solutions and with the highest potential for environmental sustainability, will be awarded with up to 20,000 €, designed to help them ensure a smooth roll-out of the solutions they have developed.

BOOST x Kosovo Green Challenge is open for all small and medium enterprises with innovative solutions that promote sustainable, efficient, and circular business practices. Women entrepreneurs are strongly encouraged to apply and integrate innovation and technology into their businesses. The aim is to ultimately create new jobs and revitalize Kosovo’s economy, in response to the consequences of the pandemic.

For more information on the open challenge and program visit BOOST x Kosovo website.
