Kosovar and foreign businesses- mainly ICT companies from Bulgaria took part at an activity called “B2B Meeting” that was held on Friday 28th September 2012 at the premises of Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK).
This activity organized by KosICT conference intends to bring together different companies Kosovo with Bulgarian companies that operate in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In the third and fourth floor of the ICK building for a few hours 11 Kosovar companies with a focus on ICT held meetings with 7 foreign companies – mainly Bulgarian companies related to information and communication technology.
Floriment Klinaku from the Puntoria team that is part of the pre-incubation phase at ICK says that these meetings with foreign companies were fruitful. “They now know what we do and I am also interested in their products and services that they can outsource in Kosovo,” said Klinaku adding that some foreign companies are considering outsourcing some of their products and services in Kosovo. Pavel Varbanov a project coordinator at the European Software Institute project coordinator based in Sofia, Bulgaria – present in the activity “B2B Meeting”, says the event is a continuation of meetings started in Bulgaria.
“ICT firms from Kosovo and Bulgaria have been working together on this, and of course there are also new linkages during these meetings” Varbanov says and adds that he got informed from these meetings. The activity “B2B Meeting” was held a day after KosICT regional conference organized by the Association for Information and Communication Technology of Kosovo (STIKK). KosICT is an important event for the international, regional and local companies and service providers operating in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
