Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 ends

After one week fully packed with 23 various activities organized by Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK) in cooperation with local partners, has ended Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 (GEW). GEW ended with fourth edition of Startup Weekend Prishtina where Hej Taxi was chosen as the best team.

For seven days Republic of Kosovo and passionate Kosovo enthusiasts for doing business based in technology and innovation has been part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 (GEW).
During GEW by Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK) were organized 23 activities co-organized with 13 partners.

The last activity of GEW 2013 was Startup Weekend Prishtina #4 where 7 teams competed for the first three prizes. The best team was chosen Hej Taxi, in the second place was chosen Wuu Games, while the third placed team was Söfra.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators, who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. GEW global sponsors are Kaufmann Foundation and Google.
During Global Entrepreneurship Week were organized around 20,000 activities worldwide. Partners of GEW are Ipko Foundation, IPKO, Community Development Fund, STIKK, Athene Kosovo, Crimson Finance Fund, MDA Foundation, Jakova Innovation Centre, Kosovo United States Alumni, Universum College, Wominnovation, CEED Kosovo. Athene Prosjektledelse, Norway and Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology (STIKK), Kosovo are the founders of ICK, and Crimson Capital LLC, Kosovo is the main cooperating partner. ICK is funded by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
