Based in Kosova, DYVOLAB serves as a collaborative laboratory where young people, creatives, and professionals come together to address social and environmental challenges, especially those related to waste, plastic pollution, and sustainability.
Combining design, technology, and community knowledge, DYVÓLAB encourages innovation through co-creation. It connects artists, designers, architects, engineers, researchers, and local communities to prototype ideas, build solutions, and rethink the way we live and produce.
In May 2025, DYVÓLAB became Kosovo’s first and only FABLAB to join the global FABLAB network, an exciting milestone that strengthens its mission to turn Kosovo into a hub of sustainable innovation. A FABLAB (Fabrication Laboratory) is a small-scale workshop space offering digital fabrication tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines, which allow people to design and create physical objects, from prototypes to finished products. This technology empowers the community to experiment and develop sustainable solutions, such as upcycling plastic waste into useful items.
From upcycling plastic waste into useful products, to running educational programs, workshops, and community projects, DYVÓLAB uses creativity as a powerful tool for environmental and social transformation. DYVÓLAB also actively engages with local schools, universities, and organizations to promote environmental awareness and hands-on learning. Through partnerships and open-access initiatives, it fosters a collaborative spirit that empowers individuals to become agents of change in their communities.
