Registration for the first Seed Forum in Pristina is underway.
Leading global investment platform, Seed Forum International (SFI) announced it is accepting submissions from Kosovo companies for investment seeking opportunities.
Kosovo companies should register their interest at http://www.seedforum.org/register/company.
As in developed markets, this is an opportunity for companies that are planning the future growth and look for capital.
The point is to encourage the development of financial markets by investing in equity so that they could quickly enter the international capital markets, public and private. At the same time, this means the enrichment of investment space in Republic of Kosovo with standardized unlisted investments in the real sector.
For Kosovan companies that look for an investor, the deadline is 12th of December, and the main criteria is the potential for growth. Companies can be mature, new, startups or still unregistered, big, small or micro. The ideal types are companies whose goal is regional or global expansion.
Other than companies, registrations are opened for representatives of institutions and organization which can leverage and use Seed Forum’s global investor network that include over 30 000 registered investors worldwide. Such delegates can be registered by writing to [email protected].
“Emerging markets suffer from chronic lack of investment capital, this especially applies to Kosovo and the rest of region. Seed Forum provides access to the capital that is inaccessible locally and investment readiness that allows companies from Kosovo to compete on par with companies from Northern and Western Europe and Baltics.” Says Agnesa Abdullahu, current Seed Forum’s representative in Kosovo, with background in banking and Albanian/Kosovo diplomacy.
Seed Forum is the world’s leading not-for-profit investor network, providing companies with world-class fundraising education and investor matchmaking opportunities in more than 40 countries. “Since last year we started providing access to investors to companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia. We are very happy to have talented Kosovan teams and entrepreneurs join the regional deal flow.” Says Irfan Polimac, equity options trader and Head of Seed Forum for South East Europe.
Seed Forum’s pitch training sessions help start-ups and growth companies see their businesses with “fresh eyes” and prepare to pitch to investors. Head of Seed Forum International, Steinar Hoel Korsmo is expected to attend the event in person.
